“Devotion” is the next step along from “Adoration”, and is an exciting energetic album that is a lot of fun to listen to. The Newsboys passion and devotion for God is clearly expressed through their explosive electrifying songs, and their fantastic album is well worth listening to.

Devotion
Listeners will be astounded with the wonderful insightful lyrics in “Devotion” which are set to dramatic music and an energetic beat. Newsboys are singing of living all their life for God, and going one step ahead of just adoring him. This song is a fantastic start to Newsboys “Devotion”.

“I love your ways” is wonderfully upbeat throughout and exciting to listen to. Newsboys are singing of the wonder of God, and praising Him for his actions. They have produced an excellent praise song that simply glorifies God for what he does.

The longing the Newsboys have for the presence of God is sung about in the song “Presence (my heart’s desire)”, which is a quiet prayer-like song. The exciting drum beat and wonderful harmonising makes this a great song to listen to.

The strength of God is sung about in the song “Strong Tower” which has an original and interesting tune. Newsboys are singing that there is nothing to fear when God is on our side as “the enemy can never scale these walls”. This is an amazing song.

“When the tears fall” is a quiet and powerful song which sings of praising God through pain, as whatever happens, God is in control. This version by Newsboys is faster and slightly more energetic than Tim Hughes’ original and the ending crescendo of sound is a great way to finishe off this fantastic powerful album.
