“He Reigns” is a fantastic album full of energy and passion. Newsboys chose various songs from previous albums and compiled them together to form this album. This CD highlights the best of the Newsboys – and is really worth a listen.

It Is You
Amazing vocals lead the listener straight into the lyrics of “It Is You” which praise God for being who He is. The chorus is very excitable and is great fun to listen to. Overall this is a great Christian music song which is interesting to listen to with a great tune and definitely shows off Newsboys’ brilliant talent.

Listeners are now brought into “He Reigns” which is without a doubt the best Christian music song on the album. The powerful lyrics sing of God reigning forever and are easy to listen to. The chorus is the climax of the song which is full of energy and packed with harmonies and a few echoes. An excellent song.

You Are My King (Amazing Love)
After the brilliance of the previous song, listeners are brought down to earth with a bump with the Christian music song “You Are My King (Amazing Love)” which seems a little dull. Despite that, this is an enjoyable song to listen to with nice lyrics that thanks Jesus for dying on the cross, and promises that we will always honour Him.

The longing Newsboys have to feel God’s presence is sung about in the song “Presence (My Heart’s Desire)”. They sing it as though it was a prayer, and with the exciting drum beat and fabulous harmonies this is another fantastic Christian music song.

“In Christ Alone” is a very well known song that sings of the life of Jesus. This interesting Christian music song is sung with great passion and thanks Jesus for what He did for us. This song clearly highlights the important events in Jesus’ life, and is great fun to listen to.

Newsboys are asking God for peace as they go into the unknown through the song “Lord (I Don’t Know)”. Unfortunately this Christian music song is not as interesting to listen to as the others on this album as it seems to lack real depth in the lyrics. Newsboys are trying to put their trust in God and do what he wishes them to do. The repetitive singing of the chorus makes this song seem a little dull.

“God Of Nations” is a powerful song with an explosive chorus that praises God which is great fun to listen to. Great harmonies and upbeat music makes this a great song. The ending clash of drums is a fantastic ending to this Christian music song and the whole album.
